Hệ thống Y tế Vinmec được thành lập năm 2012, do Tập đoàn Vingroup đầu tư phát triển với Sứ mệnh “Chăm sóc bằng tài năng, y đức và sự thấu cảm”. Vinmec hoạt động theo mô hình phi lợi nhuận đầu tiên tại Việt Nam, hướng đến trở thành hệ thống y tế hàn lâm đẳng cấp quốc tế với 3 cấu phần tương tự các hệ thống y tế lớn trên thế giới: Chuỗi bệnh viện - các Viện nghiên cứu chuyên sâu – Đào tạo (thông qua hợp tác với Đại học VinUni).

Đến 2021, Vinmec có 7 bệnh viện và 5 phòng khám đa khoa quốc tế trên khắp cả nước. Với cơ sở vật chất vượt trội cùng đội ngũ chuyên gia, bác sĩ đầu ngành; liên tục ứng dụng các phương pháp điều trị mới nhất cùng chất lượng dịch vụ hoàn hảo, Vinmec đã trở thành địa chỉ chăm sóc sức khỏe theo tiêu chuẩn quốc tế tại Việt Nam.

Vinmec is the only private healthcare system in Vietnam having comprehensive association with VinUni, which presents a full ranges of area, from health science to technology and business. This non-profit university project has been established by Vingroup and is going to launch its official enrollment from 2020.
VinUni University Health Science Division and the hospitals in Vinmec system will work together to build a break through international standard medical human resource training model in Vietnam.
Vinmec has been officially granted a Continuing Medical
Education-CME code by the Ministry of Health. In near future, Vinmec will become a training center, specializing in staffing capacity improvement and issuing accredited certificates.
